Additional Duties
As a part of the new IFR licensing regime, clubs in the top five leagues of the pyramid will have to meet their additional duties to gain a provisional licence and continue to meet the required standards to gain a full licence.
Not all duties will be applicable to all clubs as these duties go live. Duties will only arise in specific circumstances. However, clubs need to be aware of all duties and comply when relevant.
Three of these duties are to be followed by clubs, and one of these duties applies only to specified competition organisers (the Premier League, the English Football League and the National League).
The four duties set out below will apply from 5 May 2026. The remaining four duties will follow later in the summer.
